I figured I would give this baby a dusting off and just write for a change.

I still work a lot. Anywhere from 50-60 hours a week. Next week I add school on top of that! Hopefully. I mean I signed up for it but it needs to fill up. But YAY for me finally getting going on the school thing after talking about it for so long.

Part of me would enjoy going back to working only one 40 hour job but part of me would miss it a lot. Especially since it would be Gamestop to go and I have made better friends there than Borders. Not that the Borders people are bad cause I love them but it's only a few people at GS and closer and you have to interact or you'll kill yourself from boredom. A tad more free time would be choice though.

I have started exercising again. Running on the streets by the house and whatnot. Still getting used to hills after years of treadmills but whatever works you know? Not that I needed to per se but I knew I was losing stamina and you feel so good afterwards. I like that feeling.

My hair is extremely long. At least for me it is. I can pull my hair down about half way down my nose. I can't remember it ever being like this. I liked it for a while but now it needs to go. Just a bit anyways.

I think I have changed a whole lot in the last five years. Physically and mentally. For the better in both I would imagine.

There seem to be quite a few good concerts this summer of which I will probably end very few but Alkaline Trio at Toads I really need to try and get to. Also Rancid and Big D in September sounds like a whole lot of fun.

My 360 red ringed on me =/. I now have to wait for my box to be sent so I can ship it out and get a new one. Only good thing to come out of this is that I believe they send you a whole new one and that would mean one with the cooler running processors and hdmi output. Not that I have a TV with HDMI or one that even tunes properly but it is nice to have the option available. Maybe it won't make the room shake anymore either =).

I feel like I'm done for now. I miss everyone who reads this. I don't see anyone nearly enough. My fault. I need to reach out and touch people more. I shall try when I get free time. It's on the list ladies and gentlemen.

Later, have a good one.

In an odd turn of events I have the whole weekend off and Whitney is going away for the weekend.

Any suggestions on how to fill some time? Anyone going to be around, want to do something.

If not I can always catch up on some reading.

Nov. 12th Streetlight Manifesto/Suburban Legends at Webster.

New Motion City Soundtrack is good stuff. I think I like Commit this to Memory more but this is quality stuff. My only qualm is that I can't hear the guest vocals. I really wanted to hear Max and Rachel and I sorta can if I really strain to listen.

New Mustard Plug is pretty decent too. Still need to give it a few more plays.

Bedouin Soundclash's Street Gospels is an mazing album. I've never really given reggae a try but this CD is great. Nice and mellow. Good Sunday drive music. 12:59 Lullaby is a new favorite of mine.

Still playing Patent Pending a lot too. Quality CD.

New Zolof next week. New Found Glory and Voodoo Glow Skulls came out Tuesday too. Pre-order for Say Anything went up today. That album I'm psyched for. Trying to keep the excitement to a minimum though and not overhype myself up here.

I need to go to sleep. Running on three hours sleep and worked both jobs today. Fun times were had last night though so it was worth it.

I don't know if my personal nerd level can get any higher but I started watching Battlestar Galactica and I really like it. Turn it to 11 I guess.

I've been fairly care-free and happy for a while now. At both jobs I am quite sociable with just about everyone there and I believe I get along with everyone. So for the longest time things were pretty decent for me. I've always liked that quote that I used to have on an H2O shirt. It said to some extent "Though as hard as you try you can't bring me down." That's basically how I've been handling life you know? No longer afraid to be who I am and whatnot. It has worked with considerable results. However a few weeks ago I let something get to me and screw with me for a while. I'm back now, how are you? The miraculous cure was a fantastic show. Things seem so much clearer after a show. What a fine show it was too.

No Jive- a ska-punk band. Very good in a Less Than Jake sort of way.

Tip the Van- Much much better than I remember. That was two years ago though so I would hope they would.

So odd ass band I don't remember the name of. It was fucking weird, it was that guy Flood, one of the guys from 6 Under Par and a whole bunch of people you see at shows singing covers. Five singers on stage. I mean I dislike that guy Flood with a passion but this was something to see. Set list went something like this:

Song I didn't recognize
Fallout Boy- Sugar, We're Going Down
Taking Back Sunday- Cute Without the E (Cut from the Team)
Rancid- Time Bomb
Avril Lavigne- Girlfriend (girls came on stage and sung this one while her CD played)
Dropkick Murphys? Not sure if it was the Murphys because I didn't recognize the song but it sounded like them.
Blink-182- Dammit

If that is not the most perfect scene cover band ever I don't know what is.

Jet Lag Gemini- Good pop-punk like band.

Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer- Very surprised they played here and not second to last. Still rocked hard. They sound better live. New songs are great especially Can't Stand It. More and more people seem to know them each time I see them which is something that makes me happy. Plus they played Ridin' Dirty again. Great cover for them. I really want that MP3. Mad hugs and love to anyone who can get me that one.

Patent Pending- these guys made me a fan in about one song. Punk rock and highly amusing. They put the effort to involve you in the show. Just highly likable and entertaining. I really want to see them again soon. Said they would be back in the fall.

Suburban Legends- Highly entertaining as usual. Most bands seem to have a hard time playing instruments without the dance moves. They are a trip to see live. They threw in a few Disney cover songs as well. Can't wait to be king from Lion King which made me remember Laura Baum singing that when we had those class elections or senior year and their encore was Under the Sea from Little Mermaid. Never in my life did I ever think I would find myself skanking to that song. I'm glad I get to check that one off the list though.

All in all great time. It put things back into perspective for me. Back to being carefree and cracking jokes like they were eggs. Fuck people who don't want to be around me. I'm awesome times 3.

Terribly excited to see Glow Skulls, Mustard Plug and Big D now. I need to start checking local shows again more. I think I am missing out.

Oh yeah, six CDs for $30 is a deal any day of the week.

Fudge swirl ice cream! The Falcon are playing in Boston on Oct 16th. For those having paid attention to earlier posts that is the same day as the VGS/MP show in CT. Sorry Falcon, as much as I want to see you I haven't seen MP in at least three years and VGS going on two and that show is going to be awesome.

I think I am finally going to be able to end the Motion City Soundtrack concert drought. Nov. 11 at the Palladium. Best I could hope for if they were not going to play CT. Drive is fine and there is always parking. Go me.

Now I know my jobs aren't the greatest in terms of pay but they do have some benefits.

Take today for example. Between my two jobs I walked away with the 300 special edition DVD, the new Bad Religion CD, the Stardust novel, the third Penny Arcade collection, Phantasy Star Universe strategy guide and a WoW art book for the great price of FREE. Now granted that I wouldn't buy a few of things if I had to pay for them but they were free so why not? Oh, plus the NCAA 08 t-shirt. Free lounging t-shirts are nice.

That is all. Hope everyone is cool. I'm off to curb stomp some heads and make face pancakes in Gears.

So while this may not be news to some people it may be to others.

Anyways over the last few days I have been seeing things about the Mighty Mighty Bosstones doing a Hometown Throwdown again this year. Mostly I read it on message boards and gave it little credit. However I was listening to an interview/acoustic performance by Big D on Alt. Press site and they asked them about it since Joe Gittleman produced their CD and they said he said they were talking about it. Now granted talking about it doesn't mean it will happen but it is at least a glimmer of hope of seeing them at least once more. Possibly even five. Yeah, I wouldn't go to all five.

Regardless this is good news.

Be warned, I might ramble...

As of late I have been loving Say Anything's "...Is A Real Boy" and New Years Day's "My Dear". When I first listened to Say Anything months and months ago I thought that they were overhyped. After maybe the second listen I was in love with this album forever. New Years Day really hasn't left my car these past two weeks. I also must have at least 200 CD's yet I find myself playing the dame ones over and over. When I go looking for something to play in the car I can never find something I want to listen to. I think that happens to everyone though.

I finished Perks of Being a Wallflower last week and I loved that book. Finished it in a day which isn't a feat at all but I couldn't put it down. I've been reading Running with Scissors as of late and that is a good read too. Both are just not normal. The perks of working in a bookstore I guess. Exposure to lots of new stuff.

Speaking of work I think it is getting close to the time where I am going to have to leave Gamestop. I love the people there to death and it has most definitely been an experience but I am getting no hours there. No one is. There being two stores across the street just isn't working there. This job is good on so many levels but the no hours is killing me.

Angel is just as good as Buffy. So happy.

Finished the second season of Veronica Mars. Quality stuff. The cancellation of that show is just another example of how TV executives and I don't see eye to eye. Or is it mainstream America and I since it is based off Neilson ratings. I just don't see why all TV's don't come with a Neilson receiver or whatever they use. Things would be more accurate. At least every vote would count. I'm tired of this electoral type stuff all over.

I love my 360 more every day. You are such a pretty little thing aren't you? Aren't you?

I joined Netflix. I finally saw the end to Entourage Season 2. Now on tap is Hex, a British show about a witch I believe.

I didn't ramble as much as I thought I might. Good for me. It's hot tonight, it reminds me of last summer in Boston.

I miss people.

I know I've missed out on things by moving back and it saddens me.

I love all the things I've done since I've been back though.

I'm out.

Later skaters.
